Personalised Approach
MUGS is a student run society that aims at engaging not only its fellow peers but the staff and alumni who, in time, will be considered peers and colleagues. We pride ourselves on this as well as our open door policy, whereby anyone, not only those studying geoscience or within the industry are welcomed to join and learn about the many different aspects of geoscience.
About Us
Excellence and Professionalism
The members of MUGS range from undergraduates to industry leaders. Each and every student involved with this society strive to achieve their very best and it is represented by their attitude, their work ethic, their willingness to participate and their commitment to not only MUGS but to representing the University at conferences, seminars and meetings alike.
Guidance and Knowledge
As a member of MUGS, you are constantly exposed to new opportunities both within and outside of the University. As an undergraduate you have the ability to meet fellow peers that you will be allied with throughout your degree, as well as those who have completed their degree and can pass on their words of wisdom. There are numerous opportunities to discuss the direction of your future and the paths to take in order to achieve everything you would like from your Geoscience degree at Macquarie University.
